i think amateur gloves should be 14-16 oz as far as i know to keep you legal and safe in the gym. i would have gone with 16oz just to protect my partners and to build up my own strengh but anyways…. i use 16oz, that’s what my gym recommended anyhow

I am a 116 amateur starting right now from scratch and I got 12oz everlast advanced training gloves with Velcro strap,was that a good choice?
