ARLINGTON, Texas — Manny Pacquiao’s mother, Dionisia Pacquiao, “is fine” after apparently having suffered an anxiety attack at ringside during her son’s unanimous decision over Antonio Margarito on Saturday night at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, according to Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach.

Pacquiao’s mother is “okay now,” Pacquiao told members of the media at the post-fight press conference.

Roach said that Dionisia Pacquiao was at ringside for the only time since Pacquiao’s 12th-round knockout of Miguel Cotto in November 2009, after which she also went to the hospital with an anxiety attack.

“She’s fine. She’s fine, just a little fatigued and a little stressed out, but she is in the hospital,” said Roach. “But all reports are that she’s fine. This is her second time at ringside, and this is her second time in the hospital.”
