Golden State Warriors’ player Jeremy Lin, a Harvard graduate of Chinese decent, is the NBA’s first Asian American player as well as a big fan of eight-division titlist Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight (147 pounds) belt against Shane Mosley on May 7 in an HBO pay per view event that is being promoted by Top Rank Promotions. Pacquiao also holds the WBC’s junior middleweight (154 pounds) belt.

Strength trainer Alex Ariza is an assistant to four-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach as they work with WBO welterweight (147 pounds) king Manny Pacquiao.

Ariza shed light on the first day of sparring at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles for Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 knockouts), who is preparing to meet former world title holder, Antonio Margarito (38-6, 27 KOs) in a Nov. 13, HBO pay-per-view televised, Top Rank Promotions fight for the WBC’s vacant junior middleweight (154 pounds) title.
