I bought a pair of mma gloves from Everlast that do work well and are good but after using them and finding that the closed thumb was a little bit restricting on movement plus the materal was a bit light. I found I needed a more heavy duty pair of gloves the Meister mma gloves are made of real leather and heavy duty the open thumb which I found are the right ones for me, have a good fit and great protection on my hands. Now I have what I wanted for a few more dollars and the right size for just putting on and using for anything, no wraps, tape or extras I don’t need ‘em. I ordered a size up at first but found just for slipping on and going were not as supportive so I got a size down for that kind of use.(Note) Go a size up if you need the room for raps, tape or anything else for support or go up a few sizes for heavy wraping or taping for fighting. I would recommend them for anyone to use for just about everything you need them for.
